RankMath Free vs Pro
A RankMath Free vs Pro Review? Well, I pulled the trigger and subscribed to RankMath Pro. Below, I will share my experiences and comparisons between the free version and pro. As you all know, this is my first attempt at SEO. Though I’ve been around the internet for a while; it was called the World Wide Web when it started.
SEO was different back then. There was no Google in those days; only Yahoo, Altavista, Excite, Lycos, and Metacrawler (the closest thing to Google). In those days ranking your website on a search engine was easy. One would load the page with keywords in the meta description and voila you ranked! There were fewer websites back then too. The entire Google ranking thing has become complicated, oversaturated, and EXTREMELY competitive. This post alone has a keyword of Rank Math Free vs Pro, or Rankmath Free vs Pro without the space between Rank and Math. The keywords have over 170,000 results when typed into Google’s search console. How then am I supposed to get exposure to my website, or “Rank”.
WordPress offers plugins, one of them is Rank Math. They offer a subscription version called Rank Math Pro, but talk on Reddit states that the free version is good too. Let’s explore, shall we?
My Expectations
I am aware of the immenseness of competition on the internet. There is much more to SEO nowadays than RankMath can do, but I think it’s an important part. I liken the optimization process to having a bunch of tools that are needed to build a house. Rank Math happens to be one of those tools. Frankly, if Rank Math alone could help you achieve a rank of #1, it would be wayyyy more expensive.
So I am realistic regarding the limitations of the plugin. What I expect is the plugin will assist me in structuring my website in a way that is favorable to the search engines. From my research, I have found Rank Math to be congruent with the optimization requirements needed to rank on any search engine, especially Google. Also, the SEO gurus I trust the most are aligned with the way RankMath structure requirements.
RankMath Free vs Pro
The Free Version
I liked the free version! I felt it helped me set up the schema and structure of the page. It gives a score that tells you how well your site is optimized for a search engine. The closer one gets to 100 the better. I found it fun having to meet the challenge of at least scoring 80 (which makes the score button turn from yellow to green). As I progressed with building more content, it became easier to score higher because I understood the process; some call it cognitive offload.
If it’s so good then why upgrade?
There were definitely limitations to RankMath Free vs Pro. I felt that I was missing out on something with the free version. The dashboard contained several options only available in RankMath Pro. The paid options weren’t vital to my optimization process but offered greater ease. Much like Canva Pro, you know the free version is good, but the paid is liberating! The Pro Version
After twiddling my fingers and resisting the urge to pay anything for any service, I decided to subscribe. One of the most appealing aspects of the subscription was the affordable price. You can investigate the pricing options by visiting https://rankmath.com/pricing/. As an individual, freelance blogger the affordability was very compelling and reasonable.
The Pro version of Rank Math is enjoyable. I find it easier to write content and add more keywords. More options are available that liberate one from the restrictions of the paid version. The door to resources becomes wide open and it is very helpful. The analytics sections are no longer blurred and there is more data to explore.
There is a SERP-like function that keeps track of keyword trends. The once-before unavailable keywords area in the Ranking section is now available and gives insight into the interest of the focused selection.
Conclusion
Honestly, I am very impressed and quite happy with my subscription. It gives me plenty of tools in one plugin at an affordable price. Is it Semrush or Ahrefs? No. However, I don’t need that at the moment. I’m not at that level yet, but hope to get there one day. Those tools are for more research-based analysis. I highly recommend RankMath Pro. If you have been on the fence, you should pull the trigger as well. You have nothing to lose, because they have a 30 Day money-back guarantee! Try it and tell me what you think!
